As part of its industrial strategy to become a turnkey system supplier, Bonfiglioli has acquired Tecnoingranaggi, the Bologna-based specialist manufacturer of planetary gear units and established leader in this particular market. Tecnoingranaggi specialises in the production of reduced backlash planetary gear units (down to 3’ for applications with highly dynamic loads and guaranteed repeatability) which are especially appreciated by customers requiring the consistent high quality that is guaranteed by precision in-house machining of the gear train itself as per the stringent process controls of Tecnoingranaggi's Quality Assurance.
Reduced backlash planetary gear units are rapidly becoming the first choice for key applications such as packaging, wood-working machinery, positioners, and many others. Through its acquisition of inverter manufacturer BONFIGLIOLI VECTRON GmbH Elektronik and now Tecnoingranaggi, Bonfiglioli extends its product offering to position itself as a global system supplier with a technical know-how that covers a wide range of industrial sectors.
