Frequency inverter with a performance to 55 kilowatt

New sizes provide higher performance

Bonfiglioli presents sizes 5 and 6 of its highend frequency inverter Active at the 2005 Hanover Trade Fair. With a recommended performance of 22 to 30 kilowatt for size 5 and 37, 45 and 55 kilowatt for size 6, the power transmission specialist from north Italy supplements the frequency inverter series at the top end. Supplied with the most modern hard and software technology, application specific possibilities for expansion and interface modules for current Bus systems, Bonfiglioli awaits a continuation of the success of this series at the higher performance end of the market. Developed and built at its daughter firm BONFIGLIOLI VECTRON GmbH in Krefeld, and marketed by the Bonfiglioli organisation worldwide, this frequency inverter is in great demand.

With its two new sizes, the frequency inverter series Active also offers many control possibilities, both with and without feedback: you can select sensorless control, sensorless vector control, vector control with feedback, as well as synchronous and servo motors. "Our machines cover the entire operational area from simple to highly complex and include high dynamics and precision." said Dr. Siegfried Stadtfeld, the manager and head of development of Bonfiglioni BONFIGLIOLI VECTRON GmbH about the main characteristics of the machines. In addition to a guided operational start and parameter identification, the programmable interfaces and logic functions offer great ease of use during start up and for the operator. This is supplemented by application specific extension modules such as power cut-out support, a motor-chopper function, power regulation, precise axis and reference point positioning, in addition to the function of the electronic gears.

As well as the software specialities, the new machine sizes are also distinguished by their construction. All have an inbuilt brake-chopper transistor, and both air and cold plate cooling are offered. The latter makes possible the use of machines and installations with a built in liquid cooling system. The inverter series is also very flexible in terms of its attachment possibilities. These include plate and series mounting as well as feed through mounting and vibrational stability. Thus, the machines fulfil not only the drive technical requirements but also the requirements of mechanical construction from the point of view of the hardware.
